UrbanSim is a tool for use by urban planners, policymakers, and other community stakeholders to help formulate and evaluate combinations of land-use, transportation and environmental policies. It is intended to support deliberation and debate on such issues as building new transit systems or freeways, or adopting alternative growth management regulations and incentives, as well as on broader issues such as sustainable, liveable cities, economic vitality, social equity, and environmental preservation.1
