The first report presents the findings of an investigation into the potential for the application of structural adjustment type mechanisms to reduce the carbon intensity of the Australian Built Environment Sector. The report covers the drives for structural adjustment tin Australia, lessons from Australia’s structural adjustment experience, and provides a summary of carbon related policy and programs up to 2013. The report provides the basis for the development of the ‘Roadmap for Carbon Structural Adjustment in the Australian Built Environment Sector’.
